The Minnesota Cleaners Association (MCA) is again sponsoring its annual blanket drive to benefit Sharing and Caring Hands, a nonprofit organization serving more than 20,000 people in need each month.
The drive runs through the end of November.
Dry cleaning customers across the state are encouraged to drop off new or gently used blankets, comforters, bedspreads and throws at their local MCA dry cleaner. Each of the more than 100 MCA dry cleaners are donating their time and resources to process the items before delivering them to Sharing and Caring Hands in Minneapolis. Sharing and Caring Hands, in turn, will distribute the items to people in need.
Area participating locations include Plaza Cleaners at 6259 University Ave. N.E. in Fridley and St. Croix Cleaners at 4345 Pheasant Ridge Drive in Blaine.
